Eastern LA FRC’s purpose is to provide emotional support, information and training, and resources and referrals to individuals with disabilities, families and professionals who support, live with or love someone using CA developmental services system.
The Family Resource Center is staffed primarily by trained parents, family members or self-advocates who support or live with someone with a disability. Our lived experience of finding resources and information, as well as, navigating the system of supports for children and adults is one of our superpowers!

Through the Family Empowerment Center Program (FEC) we can assist you with understanding, navigating, and learning about school related services. We aim to assist families of children and young adults with disabilities, between the ages of 3 and 22. We can help to better understand your own or your loved ones educational needs, serve as a resource for the Early Start (0-3) transition process, and help understand the IEP or prepare for a meeting. In addition, we can serve as a resource for Adult transition.
The Eastern LA Family Resource Center is a community-based center in East LA whose mission is to support families and individuals with or at risk of a developmental or healthcare need to lead self-determined and fulfilling lives in the community.
